The company management pays particular attention to environmental protection. It applies all measures to prevent an environmental degradation that may be caused by an increase in output. Therefore, in order to reduce atmospheric emissions, our company operates an exhaust gas treatment system. Catalytic scrubbing of tail gases from nitrogen oxides is provided in nitric acid production. Emission of gases into the atmosphere takes place at a height of 150 meters, which ensures dispersion of hazardous substances; as a result, ground level concentration of these substances doesn’t exceed maximum permissible concentration. Gas-vapor mixture scrubbing is provided in ammonium nitrate production in order to delete ammonia and ammonium nitrate impurities, whereby gas-vapor emission takes place at a height of 73 meters. Waste water treatment is performed in biological treatment facilities whereafter waste water reenters production cycle for water cycle feeding. Our plant has no sewage disposal into water reservoirs. These facts make it possible to consider Mendeleevskazot, LLC to be an ecologically conscious plant.
